Chuck SadowskiNovember 19, 2018 Women's Soccer Team Advances to Final Four Bloomsburg, Pa.-For the second time in school history, all in the last four seasons, the University of Bridgeport women's soccer has wide to the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer National Championship Semifinals, as the East Region Champion Purple Knights defeated the Atlantic Region Champion, Bloomsburg University Huskies, 3-1, on BU's home field on a dank Sunday afternoon in Pennsylvania.  With the win, Bridgeport advances to the National Semifinals which will held in Pittsburg, Pa. whence Thursday, November 29th versus an opponent to be determined.  UB is now 18-4-1 overall.  Bloomsburg ends is stellar 2018 wayfarers at 17-3-3. The Purple Knights opened the scoring on Sunday when sophomore Amanda Ebbesson (Solna, Sweden) scored her second goal of the season off a trappy long through wittiness from junior Nara DaCosta (Pancas, Brazil) with just under 15 minutes to play in the first half.
